Festival Launch in the Haven Hotel, Dunmore East by Martin Cullen T.D., Minister for Transport, Ireland & Loyola Sullivan, Minster of Finance, Newfoundland/ Labrador followed by Hooks & Crooks Concert sea shanties and the premiere of Battered Cod

Saturday 28th May
Create a Giant Beech Mosaic Kilfarrasey Beach
Launch of the Schooner, Thomas McDonagh by Martin Cullen T.D., Minister for Transport, Ireland and Loyola Sullivan, Minster of Finance, Newfoundland/ Labrador. This beautiful schooner has been converted from a fishing boat and rebuilt by shipwright Tony McLoughlin and master craftsmen.

Children's Parade to Cheekpoint Harbour; The Blessing of the Boat: Cheekpoint Harbour; The Prong Celebrations - Cheekpoint Harbour; Concert by Voices of Newfoundland & Newfoundland Set Dance- demonstration and lesson on The Green; The Prong Race: racing the prongs over the mud and around the buoys.
Banquet, music and cruise aboard the Galley Cruising Restaurant on the Barrow river followed by a Céilí beside the Barrow River in New Ross Boat Club.
