Festival Launch in the Haven Hotel, Dunmore East by Martin Cullen T.D., Minister for Transport, Ireland & Loyola Sullivan, Minster of Finance, Newfoundland/ Labrador followed by Hooks & Crooks Concert sea shanties and the premiere of Battered Cod

Saturday 28th May

Create a Giant Beech Mosaic Kilfarrasey Beach

Launch of the Schooner, Thomas McDonagh by Martin Cullen T.D., Minister for Transport, Ireland and Loyola Sullivan, Minster of Finance, Newfoundland/ Labrador. This beautiful schooner has been converted from a fishing boat and rebuilt by shipwright Tony McLoughlin and master craftsmen.

Mining Heritage Talk: Introduction to The Archaeological Finds and Conservation Work at Tankardstown Engine House. Bunmahon Car Park

Launch of the History of the The Waterford Harbour Prong and Cheekpoint Fishing Exhibition by Loyola Sullivan, Minster of Finance, Newfoundland/ Labrador: Story of the Cheekpoint Prongs by Andrew Doherty in the Reading Room, Cheekpoint. Children's Parade to Cheekpoint Harbour; The Blessing of the Boat: Cheekpoint Harbour; The Prong Celebrations - Cheekpoint Harbour; Concert by Voices of Newfoundland & Newfoundland Set Dance- demonstration and lesson on The Green; The Prong Race: racing the prongs over the mud and around the buoys.

Banquet, music and cruise aboard the Galley Cruising Restaurant on the Barrow river followed by a Céilí beside the Barrow River in New Ross Boat Club.
