Festival 2008 Planning Underway

Festival Planning Meeting held at
The Wilds, November 2007

Planning is underway for the 2008 edition of the Ireland - Newfoundland Festival of the Sea.

In November, a festival planning meeting at The Wilds on Salmonier Line attracted close to thirty people interested in getting involved with the 2008 festival hosted in Newfoundland.

Meeting participants included the Newfoundland festival management committee and participants from previous festivals as well as others interested in becoming involved for the first time.

The planning group will be working to draft a festival schedule for September 19 - 27, 2008 as well as organizing several fundraising events for early 2008.
